Changing port settings in Eudora

Eudora does not come with the options for changing ports installed by default. You need to do the following to view the options in Eudora:

1. Open Windows Explorer and locate the Eudora Install folder (This is normally C:\Program Files\Qualcomm\Eudora unless you specified a different folder during installation)

2. Look for a folder named extrastuff inside the main Eudora folder. Inside this folder you will see a file named "esoteric.epi"

3. Copy this file from the extrastuff folder to the main eudora folder

4. Close and start Eudora if it was open. If Eudora wasn't open, start Eudora

5. Go to the Tools menu in Eudora

6. Options menu...

7. Scroll down in the list till you come to "Ports" and select it

8. You should see this window shown here

9. Enter 250 for SMTP and 1100 for POP3

10. Close the window by clicking on OK.
