How does eNetBot Mail work with other ISP's email when logged on through AOL and with
AOL's email when logged on through other ISP's?
eNetBot Mail is the ideal solution for
users who wan to get their AOL Mail and other ISP/work/school mail in the same mail
program. Explained below are two scenarios for using eNetBot Mail.
Please not that the reference to Mail Client below is to a POP3
compliant email program.
Connected to the internet using
AOL
| AOL Mail |
Receiving
- YES, you will be able to receive in Mail Client through eNetBot |
| |
Sending -
YES, You will be able to send from Mail Client through eNetBot. Important:
All screen names used for sending must be specified in the eNetBot Mail account editor. |
| |
|
| Other ISP Mail |
Receiving
- YES, You will be able to receive in Mail Client by specifying the other ISP POP3 server
directly in the mail client. There are some exceptions however (such as AT&T Worldnet)
that require you to be logged on using their connection to receive email. |
| |
Sending -
NO,you will have to try directly with the ISP's SMTP server, which in most cases will NOT
work as they will require you to be logged on using their connection. |
Connected through Other
ISP/Work/School
| AOL Mail |
| |
| |
|
| |
Sending -
Yes,Use the ISP's SMTP server |
So, you choices for sending both AOL
mail and your other ISP mail in
the same connection session would be to use the other ISP connection.
If your objective is to use your mail
client when connected through AOL to send mail (and it doesn't matter if its from your AOL
address) then AOL with eNetBot Mail will solve your problem. If you are particular about
the address showing up in the mail you send out to have a non-AOL address (the other ISP
mail address) then it is not possible using eNetBot Mail when logged on using AOL.
